Send The School A Letter Of Compliance
After you have sent your official Withdrawal Letter to the school they may respond by asking you to give them more information. You may be asked to sign a “Statement of Assurance”, a “Non-Public School Registration Enrollment and Staff Report” and/or a “Home School Registration Form”. You are not required by law to fill out any of these forms. If you receive any of these forms then send it back blank along with this letter of compliance.
Follow these steps to send in a Letter of Compliance.
- Print a copy of the Illinois Compliance Letter below.
- Fill it out with your personal information and make a second copy for your records (remember the non-public school name is whatever name you decide to give to your homeschool, for example: Smith Family School).
- Mail a signed copy of your letter to your child’s school using Certified Mail return receipt request.
