Notify The Ohio Department of Education
If you decide to educate your child at home under the Non-Chartered, Non-Tax Supported School Regulations then you must send this Notification Report to The Ohio Department of Education to notify them that “your school” is following all of the regulations. You must send this report in every year that you homeschool.
NOTE: This report is really intended for the parents of children who attend an 08 school. Since you are simply educating your child at home as an 08 school you don’t have to send one to yourself (obviously), even though you still need to send a copy to the Department of Education (I know, it’s weird).
Follow these steps to fill out and send in an Ohio Non-Chartered, Non-Tax Supported School Notification Report:
- Print the Ohio Non-Chartered, Non-Tax Supported School Notification Report.
- Fill in the report with your personal information (your school name, your address, your phone number, your name as the administrator, etc.).
- Make a copy to keep for your records.
- Mail a signed copy of your letter to the Department of Education by certified mail with this cover letter attached.
