Regulations For Homeschooling Your Child Using A Pennsylvania Private Tutor

 

Notify The School District

The Pennsylvania Private Tutor Regulations require the tutor to file a copy of their Pennsylvania teaching certificate and a criminal history record with the superintendent of the school district.

Qualify

The Pennsylvania Private Tutor Regulations require the tutor to have a teaching certificate from the commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Hours Of Instruction

The Pennsylvania Private Tutor Regulations require the tutor to teach 180 days/year or 900 hours/year for grades K-6 and 990 hours/year for grades 7-12. They will not be required to show proof of your child’s attendance to anyone.

Required Subjects

The Pennsylvania Private Tutor Regulations do not require the tutor to teach a specific list of educational subjects.

 

Keep Records

The Pennsylvania Private Tutor Regulations do not require the tutor to keep records of their schooling.

 

Testing
